Overview
The Ibn Tulun Mosque is one of the oldest and largest mosques in Cairo, known for its distinctive architecture and historical significance. It was built in 879 AD by Ahmed Ibn Tulun, the founder of the Tulunid dynasty.
It is one of the best preserved and most authentic mosques from the Islamic medieval period in Egypt.
