About this experience

Nestled in the Hoàng Liên Son Mountains in Vietnam’s northwest, Sa Pa seems out of reach for most travelers to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, although it offers a unique view of Hmong life for those that make the journey. This tour combines two night trains to allow travelers to travel north to Sa Pa and see the area’s highlights with only two days out of Hanoi. Even if you’re only in Vietnam for a short time, this tour makes a visit to Sa Pa possible. Trekking down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Dzay tribes then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village, which supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area. Trekking to Cat Cat villages of Black H’Mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way.

Stop 1

NIGHT 1: Hanoi - Sapa by Train
At 8h30 PM, our staff will meet you at your hotels/stays in Old Quarter Area then take you directly to Hanoi Train Station for get overnight on the train to Sapa.

DAY 1: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B-L-D)

6:20 : TRAIN ARRIVES AT LAO CAI TRAIN STATION.
6:30 – Be greeted by our guide and driver upon arrival at Lao Cai Train Station before being transferred to Sapa by a shared bus. The ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour and will give you a first glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces.

Stop 4

On arrival at the hotel in Sapa, enjoy an early check-in if the room is available, otherwise in the interim, you will have access to a basic room for refreshment before having breakfast.

09:30 – Start the day with 6km of walking down to the Southeast of Sapa along Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho village, the home of the Black H’mong.

Then, you will continue walking for another 3km down to Lao Chai village. Stop at the village for lunch

After lunch, continue trekking through the rice terraces to Ta Van village of the Tay minority. This trek is relatively easy although the trail can be quite slippery if it rains. For that reason, good footwear is recommended.

Stop 8

15:00 – Return to Sapa by shared bus and check into the hotel. You will then have free time to explore Sapa town, especially its market with all the colorful handicrafts.
Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa Town.

A walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. Relax at the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river, and then next 3 km to Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes
