A scenic, hour-long drive through the wonderful Tuscan countryside brings you to Florence city centre where you can decide to visit it on your own or to upgrade to a private guided tour to get the most out of this great Renaissance gem. With the guided option you'll also visit the Accademia gallery to see Michelangelo's David.

You will be driven back to your cruise ship in time for the next part of your journey with fond memories of Italy.

The first stop is Pisa, just a short 30 minute drive away. There you’ll have time by yourself to explore Pisa’s top attractions such as the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and of course the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, where you’ll capture that important photo.

Florence is an hour’s drive away along a scenic route through the beautiful hills of Tuscany. Your first stop is Piazzale Michelangelo, where you’ll enjoy your first, panoramic view of the splendid Renaissance city of Florence.

Then you’ll head to the centre of Florence to explore its numerous architectural gems, walking. Upgrade to the guided option to have a professional art historian guide showing you the best of Florence highlights.

First, you’ll see the Church of Santa Croce where many famous Italians are buried, including Michelangelo and Galileo.
