About this experience

Paddle over the pristine reefs of Maui in a
clear bottom kayak and snorkel with marine life on a guided tour. Family and Coast Guard Veteran owned and operated with a focus on safety and 5-star experiences. Enjoy the calm conditions of the early morning and take in the beautiful scenery of Makena. Meet your guide at Turtle Town, Makena, and get ready for your adventure. Paddle over the healthy shallow reefs and snorkel at the best spots to see marine life. Swim with turtles, manta rays, eels, octopus, and various tropical fish. Our tours take place in a humpback whale sanctuary so we see whales in the winter time. Enjoy the beautiful views of Haleakala volcano, west Maui mountains, molokini, and the surrounding islands. Paddle over 500-year-old lava fingers and visit Turtle Town. If you choose, there is an optional snorkel portion of the tour (included in the price). Get out of the kayaks to have a closer look at some incredible marine life.

We are Maui’s Clear Bottom Kayak and Snorkel company. Providing visitors to Maui with epic experiences since 2017. Family and Coast Guard Veteran owned and operated. Viewing Maui’s marine life and reefs through a clear bottom kayak is an unforgettable experience. Our tour is suitable for ages 3 and above. No kayaking or snorkeling experience is necessary.

Our 3-hour tour runs from 7am until 10am daily as this is the best time of day for nice, calm conditions. It includes meet up, safety briefing, launching, kayaking and snorkeling. Once on the water, you will paddle over several reefs inside of your clear bottom kayak, gazing at the beauty below and the beautiful Maui scenery around you. There is also an optional snorkel portion included in the tour. You may wish to get out of the kayaks to snorkel or, if not, you can stay in your clear kayak and gaze at our beautiful reefs below. We love all things ocean and adventure and can’t wait to share it with you on our beautiful Maui home.

Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Individual weight limit is strictly 220 lbs due to the nature of our clear kayaks. If someone in your group weighs over 220 lbs then please contact us and we can reserve a single regular kayak with a weight limit of 290 lbs for them. We have two of these available. The weight limit is for your own safety. It is company policy for our tour guides to weigh each individual using scales at the meeting location on the day of the tour. If you report your weight incorrectly and then weigh over the limit on the day then we will not be able to accommodate you and you will receive no refund. Please contact us if you have questions about weight distribution before booking.
Weight limit for tandem kayak is 420 lbs *Individual weight limit of 220 lbs still applies. You will automatically be assigned a tandem kayak for a booking of 2 adults. We are a small company and only have a limited number of clear kayaks for each tour.
If you have ANY medical conditions we need to be made aware of for your safety (including if you are pregnant) or if you have dietary restrictions then please advise us of this via email.

Meeting point

Meet up is at Makena Landing Park. We will text your cell phone with a pinned google map location the day before the tour. Our company truck is a navy blue ford with clear kayak stickers on both sides. If you need to catch an Uber then book the day before (not the morning of).
