About this experience

On our special 3-hour private tour, you will visit the old Jewish district of Rome called "Ghetto Ebraico" (the Jewish Ghetto, one among the oldest in Italy) and the charming Tiberine Island on the river flanking it. You will see all the major monuments and archeological sites of the Ghetto including the Porticus of Octavia, the Marcellus Theatre and the Turtles Fountain.

You will visit Piazza Mattei, one of the most beautiful small squares of Rome and learn about the Turtles Fountain in the center, a masterpiece of Renaissance art.

You will see the old center of the Jewish Ghetto of Rome and learn about the Cinque Scole, the five Schools of Jewish Tradition that were located here

You will see the ruins fo Octavia's Portico, the grand square built by Emperor Octavian and dedicated to his sister.

See and learn about the main Sinagogue of Rome, the Major Jewish Temple, masterpiece of XIX century architecture. You will not get it, but you will walk around it.
