ASTONISHING OF ANGKOR WAT:
Every visitor walking through the Angkor Wat Temple complex will be astonished by its vastness (covering an area of 400 acres). Because of its complexity and symmetry, visitor’s attention may be either attracted or distracted.
Looking from a distance, this grand temple appears to be a colossal mass with series of elevated towers, chambers, courtyards and enclosure walls at different levels.

Angkor Wat was originally built for Hindu God SRI VISHNU, whose monolithic sculpture measuring 10.8 feet tall is depicted with eight arms.
Some of the pillars in the courtyard have inscriptions in Sanskrit and Khmer language.

FASCINATING FACES:
Bayon Temple was constructed in the heart of ‘Angkor Thom’ intended to represent ‘Mount Meru’, the center of the universe in Hindu and Buddhist beliefs.
The name “Bayon” was a French transcription by European explorers in 19th-Century.
Scholars associate the figure with 4 faces with the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, who appears with multiple faces, an important deity in Mahayana Buddhism. However, the faces have also been associated with the multi-faced, Hindu God, 'Brahma', who is the Creator of the Universe.
Ta Phrom called different name by different people, some called Jungle temple, Some called tomb raider due to the movie film here. However the temple itself looks so unreal because the overgrown trees and falling stone structure.
