Detailed itinerary

1

Angel Wings by Colette Miller
Renowned street artist Colette Miller has painted angel wings all over the world, and they're now considered to be an iconic street art trend. So if you want to get in on the action too, head down to 7769 Melrose Ave, where she's painted the street's very own pair of wings.

2

Billie Jean King
7769 is a postcode where there’s a load of street art going on; it’s worth coming round here every couple of weeks to see what’s new. One of the best pieces here is of tennis player Billie Jean King and one of her most iconic quotes, part of Meg Zany’s ‘Courage Has No Gender’ campaign.

3

Girls Tour
If you’re traveling to sunny Los Angeles, t's a must-see and must-do for the 'Gram. Women should support women, so show some lady love with your squad.

4

Turquoise Wall
If the bold pink of the Pink Wall is a bit too much for you, you’ll probably prefer the calmer turquoise wall. Rather than being one strip of color, this wall balances the turquoise strip with colorful stripes of different colors, giving a feeling of balance and dimension.

5

Made in LA
Dedicated to the people of LA rather than tourists, this sign has become one of the city’s favorites. While it may not be as colorful as some of the other murals on this list, Made in LA is still one of the best murals to get those Instagrammable selfies with.

6

Rainbows Wall
Featuring two rainbow sizes – one for kids and one for adults – it may initially seem that they are painted onto the wall, but they are, in fact, crocheted, making the Rainbows Wall one of the more unique pieces of street art on Melrose. Get a pic in direct sunlight for the best texture effect.

7

Pink Wall
Probably the most famous of all the street art on Melrose Avenue – if not the entire city – the Pink Wall is exactly what it says. Located at Paul Smith, it catches your eye due to the huge strip of neon pink, and you'll probably also see lots of Instagrammers and celebs wandering about here and taking snaps.

8

HELLO
In an effort to compete with Paul Smith, Carrera Cafe put up their own wall directly across from it. While it always says hello, the theme around it changes pretty often, so keep an eye out for it every time you’re in town!

9

Dream Big
Just a short hop away from Melrose is this stunning mural with its butterflies and lots of different colors. It's best to try and see this mural on a non-busy morning, so you get to snap it without cars driving past!

10

Pug Mural
If you’re a dog lover, a visit to the pug mural is a must! This cool-looking pug with sunnies will make a great addition to your Instagram account!

11

Black and White Mural by RETNA
The contemporary artist RETNA has a few examples of street art dotted around LA, but it's this mural which is one of his most famous. Located just around the corner of this black and white mural is an even bigger blue version.
