Our second stop, after an interesting drive from Lake Kournas, which will be about 30 min, will be Aptera Ancient Site and Koules Fortress.
Explore Roman cisterns, a monastery, a picturesque church, and a very beautiful ancient theater that still stands today.
After that, our group has time to take great photos of Souda Bay from the Kules Fortress.
The time spent there is about 1 hour, 30 minutes.
We will visit streets, buildings, high spots, neighborhoods, and monuments that only we, the locals, know. We will walk together on the stone paths where the Venetians, the Ottomans, and the old Cretans used to live and work.
We will admire the incredible flower-decorated neighborhoods, learn about Cretan history, Cretan mythology, and traditions, meet the locals, and eat like locals.

Argyroupoli, previously Ancient Leppa Is a well-preserved village with natural springs and many Venetian mansions that are still residential.
However, the place that accepts the most visitors is the famous Springs of Argyroupoli, which are formed in a green setting a few meters below the village. The water comes out of the cave of Agia Dynami and after passing the old watermills that once ground the grain, they end up in the riverbed of the river Mouselas.
The watermills today have been turned into taverns that offer traditional food.
