Detailed itinerary

1

Soon after pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town we will drive along the N1 national road towards Fairview Wine and Cheese estate.

2

Upon our arrival at Fairview Wine and Cheese estate, your tour guide will escort you to the Wine tasting area. Roaming between the 4 Wine tasting pods and the delightful Cheese and condiments Deli, you will have the opportunity to taste six of the best wine and cheese produced in this region. Wine and Cheese are all available for purchasing.

3

We drive a short distance to Babylonstoren. Set upon the backdrop of the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek mountains, Babylonstoren is one of the most beautiful wine estates in the Cape Winelands. The estate boasts a fruit and vegetable garden and a farm-to-table restaurant called Babel (booking essential). There are two other eateries on the estate, Greenhouse and the Bakery. Greenhouse serves picnic-style lunches and refreshments, whilst the Bakery serves informal Dinners.

We spend 1-hour on a Wine Tasting journey of 3 or 7 of the finest wines available for purchase at Babylonstoren.

4

Our last wine estate stop will be at Marianne Wine Estate. Marianne produces some of the best Red Wine cultivars in South Africa. Here we will enjoy a Biltong and Wine tasting. Marianne believes that biltong (dried meat) enhances the flavors of their wine produced. Marianne's Floreal wine was hand picked by Chef Gordon Ramsey for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday at Buckingham Palace.

5

We take a scenic drive through Dorp Street in the town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, on a drive-by town orientation tour. See the historical Cape Dutch-style houses and the famous Stellenbosch University.
