Visit the village of Arquà Petrarca in the heart of the Euganean Hills. Arquà is the second most beautiful village in Italy and was home to the great Italian poet Francesco Petrarca. After visiting Petrarca's house, we will visit a producer of preserves and liqueurs typical of the Euganean Hills and taste the famous Brodo di Giuggiole (jujube broth).
We will visit a renowned oil mill where the owners will tell us the history of their family farm and explain the production process of extra virgin olive oil, which we will then taste during a guided tasting session.
We will visit a local family-run winery and relax while tasting a selection of four glasses of volcanic wines paired with a light lunch of bread, cold cuts, and local cheeses for a comprehensive experience of the food and wine culture of the Euganean Hills.
Finally, we will visit one of the castles or villas in the Euganean Hills (Catajo Castle, Monselice Castle, Villa dei Vescovi, Villa Selvatico, or Giardino di Valsanzibio).
The experience begins at Venice train station. Participants will take the agreed train independently to Terme Euganee station. Upon arrival, they will be picked up by the tour guide in the agency's minivan. (Return tickets are included and provided by the agency).
