Our guide will meet you and after introductions you will depart for the tour. In this tour our knowledgeable guide will clarify to you why Zanzibar is called Spice Island. The tour will be in a small plantation whereby you’ll see where spices grow, among them cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, Zanzibar’s cardomoms, cinnamon, curry, menthol, pepper, tamarind, and ginger. Many of the spices are truly beautiful to behold, and rarely does the leaf or berry visually resemble what’s on your spice rack at home. Depending on the season, you may see, smell and sometimes taste between 25-50 different spices, fruits and other plants. Your guide will give detailed descriptions of what each plant is used for, and not all are for food. In this tour you will have an opportunity to visit the spice shop on the farm, where you can buy fresh spices to use in your cooking at home. The spices will make a truly memory of your holiday in Zanzibar
