Detailed itinerary

1

The most beautiful time of the day in Ramon Crater in the hot summer time is along the late afternoon, evening and sunset time.
The tour is private, for you only.

On Summer, meeting time will be at 17:30 -18:00 in Mitzpe Ramon, we can meet you anywhere around the town or pick you up from your hotel.
A short intro of the tour and us and then start driving south into the crater. leaving the paved road, we’ll continue on a 4x4 route that crosses the crater from side to side.

Along the way, we’ll make several stops, step out of the vehicle and explore the desert up close, to experience the unique desert ecosystem, observe local plants and vegetation, and see and feel the colorful variety of rocks, minerals, and fossils.

2

Along our ride across the crater, we will climb up with our 4x4 vehicle to the beautiful lookout point in the top of Mt. Gewanim, one of the most beautiful places in Israel. From this point, we can see a panoramic view of the crater, 360 degrees around and much further and beyond, the beautiful colors of the desert are looking even better at the "golden hour" and the sunset time, after taking some pictures, and enjoying the cool evening winds, we will continue to our next stop

3

After a short ride, as twilight time fades into the night, we’ll head to a quiet spot in the heart of the desert. There, we’ll light a campfire, relax and get used to the darkness, brew fresh tea and coffee, and enjoy the cool breeze of the summer night.
As the sky darkens, we’ll guide you through the wonders of the night sky. With easy-to-follow explanations, we’ll explore stars, planets, the Moon, constellations, and Zodiac signs.

Our basic stargazing experience doesn’t use telescopes—just binoculars, a laser pointer, and other simple tools to help you enjoy and understand the sky.

At the end of this activity, we will return to the town.
