Châteauneuf du Pape intensive vineyard & fine wine experience, the best of the Rhône valley wines and history & origin of the appellation. If you're a lover of fine wine, experience a day visiting some of the best vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape. Tradition is enhanced by modernism & excellence, coupled with the skill of many generations of winemakers. At the summit of the village the ruined château built by the popes in 14th century as a summer residence to escape the city of Avignon. In the morning we spend an immersive couple of hours visiting a family owned estate, learn about their heritage, visit the cellars, sampling a selection of their well-known reds & lesser known white wines. You may even get to enjoy some rare vintages. Time to stop for lunch in family owned restaurant in the village. Afternoon visit to two very different vineyards - first a winemaker owned by six generations & a second a smaller, equally important part of the appellation. This is an exceptional day out.
