About this experience

You will visit the Basilica and sanctuary of the Virgin Mary of Montserrat which is home to the Black Madonna sculpture 'La Moreneta.' The tour includes walking tour of the monastery area, tickets for the Basilica and Black Virgin (pending availability of tickets). After visiting the Basilica, options include a walk to St. Michaels Cross (around 40 min. walk in total with some steep inclines), or a funicular train ride (€16/pers).

Stop 1

See the spectacular beauty of the UNESCO World Heritage site Montserrat mountain, monastery and Basilica situated 1 hour from Barcelona.
5 hour Private Group tour from Barcelona to Montserrat with 2 expert guides.
10 a.m personal hotel/apartment pick-up. 3 p.m. mid-afternoon drop-off.
Incudes walking tour of Montserrat monastery, tickets for the Basilica and Black Madonna statue (pending availability) and option of short hike to enjoy the spectacular views.
If tickets are already sold out for the entrance to the Basilica on your tour date, we will contact you to offer alternative tickets at the Monastery, e.g. to the a/v exhibition or Montserrat Museum. We can also refund the value of the tickets (€9) on the tour and spend more time exploring the surroundings or take an optional funicular ride higher up the mountain (€16 per person).
