This is a lovely light activity tour. You can walk as much or little as you like and all areas are wheel chair accessible.

We will also take a tour right next to where the artisan boats are built.
As an optional stop we can go to a cocoa store, you can try different products made from cocoa, as well as being able to shop for other national products.
we will travel to the home of the famous Panama Hats, Montecristi. Sheltered at the feet of the Mountain is the town that birthed these sombreros many generations ago. It is was also the Home and Mausoleum of the countries most celebrated President. We will learn of his colourful life filled with revolution, intrigue and very dramatic demise. Your expert guide will take you through the Museum, Mausoleum as well as some of the local artisan exhibitions, before having the option to walk down the wooden deck promenade into the town center or ride down on the bus.
Once in the small town center, your guide will show you the Panama hat makers workshops and stores as well as a huge variety of local artisan goods. We can also see some of the last examples of traditional wooden architecture in the central plaza next to the cathedral.
We will show you how the famous Panama Hat is made, wrongly called that way because it actually originates from here.

For lunch we will go to a restaurant in the middle of the Pacoche rainforest, you can walk in the garden while you wait for your food or if you prefer you can wait in a hammock
We will make a stop at the San Lorenzo Lighthouse, which offers us a beautiful view of the ocean.
San Lorenzo beach is well known for being the nesting place for sea turtles, which instinctively always return to the same beach where they were born to nest.
