Detailed itinerary

We will pass by the lake and the bridge of love, near the Bruges beguinage and the canal with swans. We will skirt the path of what was the old city wall and pass through two of the Medieval gates (GentPoort and KruisPort)

We will discover the 4 windmills of Bruges on the large canal that borders the medieval city and cross one of the bridges to escape the old town

We will follow the canal that connects Belgium with Holland and we will arrive at the small medieval town of Damme, with its beautiful windmill (still working), we will visit its old town hall, the hospital of Saint John and the church of Our Lady.

We will have a stop at a traditional bar or cafe to taste some craft beer or hot chocolate and waffles.

We will cross the Flemish countryside, bordering the polders and observing the corn fields and vineyards

We will arrive again in the historic center of Bruges, skirting cobblestone streets, neighborhoods far from the center and crossing romantic medieval bridges.

We will visit the local brewery still active in the center of Bruges and discover its peculiar history.

Knowing how to ride a bicycle is enough since Belgium is a country prepared for them, with exclusive lanes for cyclists and completely flat terrain. In several parts of the route we will go through streets with traffic, for this reason you must be attentive to traffic at all times. Some days we will have wind in the channel to Damme, due to the proximity to the North Sea
