Cape Agulhas is a rocky headland in Western Cape, South Africa. It is the geographic southern tip of the African continent and the beginning of the dividing line between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. A walk along the pathway will take you to the official meeting point of the two oceans. Here you can take a photo with one foot in the Indian ocean and the other foot in the Atlantic ocean. You are also able to explore one of the oldest lighthouses in South Africa.
Gansbaai is a fishing town and popular tourist destination in the Overberg District Municipality. It is known for its dense population of great white sharks and as a whale-watching location.
Hermanus is a town on the southern coast of the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is famous for Southern Right whale watching during the southern winter to spring seasons, and is a popular retirement location, too. Although the Southern Right whale is the most prolific species in the bay, it is not the only one that visits these shores. The whales can be seen from the cliffs all along the coast from as early as June and usually depart in early-December. Hermanus also has an exquisite backdrop of mountainous areas carpeted in pristine Cape Fynbos. These Hills are riddled with walking and hiking trails, and attract paragliders and hang-gliders from around the World.
On our way back to Cape Town, we will stop at Stony Point Penguins Colony for a visit to this enchanting sea creatures. Stony Point is one of the largest penguins colonies in South Africa.
