Your day tour will begin when your English-Speaking Driver will pick you up directly at your accommodation In Rome. You will be chauffeured to the gorgeous town of Assisi, hometown of S. Francesco.
At your arrival in Assisi, you’ll meet your English-speaking licensed tour guide. You will embark in a guided towards the most magical Basilicas and locations of Assisi. The religious town known as the birthplace of Saint Francis has beautiful churches including the Saint Francis Basilica where the Saint’s remains are kept, and is also home to intricate frescoes painted by Giotto and Cimabue. With your guide, you’ll enter inside the Basilica and you’ll be amused by the beauty and the peace of this place. Have a look to the Basilica of Santa Chiara, you’ll reach Piazza del Comune with Minerva Temple. You’ll have an external view of Palazzo dei Priori, of the home of the father of San Frencis, many little streets, squares and medieval locations. If there is time left, have a quick stop at wonderful church of Santa Maria degli Angeli and continue your tour along the little streets of Assisi center.
