About this experience

Located in Ung Hoa district, 35km from downtown Hanoi, the village is well known for its century-old craft of making incense. In the past, making incense was done only in Phu Luong Thuong village. Gradually the craft spreads to Dao Tu and Cau Bau villages. At present, Quang Phu Cau commune has become one of the most prominent incense making villages in the suburbs of the capital. Quang Phu Cau still has the traditions of a northern delta village but it also has a modern touch.Combine three scenic attractions in one tour with this full-day small-group tour to Quang Phu Cau, Tam Coc, and Hoa Lu. Stop 1

07:00 – 07:35: Our tour guide will pick you up your hotel or private address in Hanoi Old Quarter and departure to Incense Village.

09.15: Arrive at Incense Village where is named Quang Phu Cau. The incense to dry in various formations, you’ll get pictures of people working among this sea of red and color. Do capture a variety of shots of the workers in action, the village workshops, shooting images of the incense-making process. Visiting some local people’s houses to be widen knowledge about the real life of Vietnamese. Taking more images of the friendly locals who have worked on producing incense in this village for generations. 12.15: We arrive at Tam Coc village, Ninh Binh province. You enjoy lunch with Vietnamese cuisine at a local restaurant. 13.15: After our lunch, we go to the Tam Coc boat station to discover the beauty of nature on Sampan boat. We enjoy the sightseeing of caves, limestone mountain on river – which is called Ha Long on Land. Your local rower will do paddle to go under caves. 15.15: We move to visit Hoa Lu the ancient Capital of Vietnam.
15.45 We arrive at Hoa Lu. Following that, we go to the temple dedicated to Vietnam's first Emperor. You will given much more historical information about the Vietnamese history in the 10th and 11th centuries by your tour guide’s presentation. Moreover, you will understand the reasons that the first king of Vietnam chose that area as the first capital. This area is also beautiful place to take photos because of the peaceful and unique landscape.
