Detailed itinerary

1

We will explore the village of Megalochori, one of the most picturesque settlements on the island, renowned for its authentic Cycladic charm.
This traditional village is home to historic mansions, centuries-old houses, hidden pirate shelters, and wine canaves. Its history is closely tied to merchants and wealthy landowners who exported the famous Vinsanto wine—a tradition that continues today.
Distinctive features of the grand homes and estates include high walls, secluded inner courtyards, and sturdy wooden gates, all designed to provide privacy and protection from pirate raids.
