Your day of adventure and sweet indulgence begins with a Safari Float down the Peñas Blancas River, a wonderful experience for nature lovers of all ages. Specially designed rafts allow you to get close to the riverbanks to spot wildlife, flora, and fauna. After hotel pick-up in the La Fortuna area, enjoy a short drive to the river dock, where your friendly guide will assist with life jackets before boarding the raft. During the two-hour float, your guide will share local history and insights while you move at a gentle pace, increasing your chances of seeing monkeys, iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards, owls, bats, and more. After the float, continue to the Sweet Chocolate Tour, where you’ll learn about the history of cacao and participate in harvesting, drying, grinding, and chocolate-making processes. Finish by sampling delicious gourmet chocolate before returning to your hotel.
