You will be picked up from your hotel at 7:30 a.m. and then travel northwest. During the approximately two-hour drive to Lake Enriquillo, you will stop at a scenic viewpoint that is ideal for capturing impressive landscape photographs.
Lake Enriquillo is one of the country’s most striking natural landscapes and lies about 40 metres below sea level. The region is characterized by a hot, dry climate, yet springs and small rivers make certain areas surprisingly fertile. You will then take a boat trip on the lake, heading first to a section of the shoreline where there is a good chance of observing crocodiles in their natural habitat.
On the return journey, you will visit the village of Neyba, known for its wine production, as well as Las Marías, a popular gathering place for locals. Here, you will enjoy a traditional local lunch.
Afterwards, your driver will take you back to your hotel in a relaxed manner.
