About this experience

Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India's Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. The largest of several sacred ghats (bathing steps), Har Ki Pauri hosts a nightly Ganga Aarti (river-worshipping ceremony) in which tiny flickering lamps are floated off the steps. Worshipers fill the city during major festivals including the annual Kanwar Mela.

Early Morning you will be received from your Hotel or Airport and there will be drive to Haridwar which will be of approx 05 Hours from Delhi.

On arrival at Haridwar after check in at the Hotel local Haridwar sightseeings. Situated at the foot hills of the Himalayas, the city is a doorway to the land of holy shrines and pilgrimages, prayer and devotion. Haridwar in Hindi literally means "Gateway to the Lord". Devotees visit the ghat to take ritual baths, believing it cleanses them of their sins. It is also used for the performance of the last rites ritual. The ghat is famed for the Ganga arti, performed to the chants of Vedic hymns. The Gita Temple, Triveni Mata Temple, and the Lakshmi-Narayan Temple are located at its banks.
