A carefully organized experience to the majestic Nauyaca Waterfalls and the charming Hacienda Ébano nature reserve & farm, 2 nature jewels of Barú, Costa Rica.
The beautiful area of Barú, in Pérez Zeledón, is a magical place, full of exuberant flora and fauna beauty. Here you will find the Hacienda Ébano Natural Reserve and the Nauyaca Waterfalls. In this package you will be able to visit both destinations, with the company of an expert naturalist guide and driver, you will enjoy the majestic Nauyaca Waterfalls, and then, with a short transport, you will arrive at Hacienda Ébano where await you the viewpoint with a view of the Pacific Ocean, easy hiking on trails through the nature reserve, waterfalls, and traditional Costa Rican cuisine.
Once you reach the waterfalls, the facilities have bathrooms and filtered drinkable water. There are two big waterfalls, a short distance one from the other, we will visit the top one first, it's a 20m (130 ft) tall fall, with no pool, but a very nice and impressive view, after it and 5 minutes away is the second and lower fall, a beautiful wide cascade of 20 m (65 ft) with a huge pool of 00 m. / (00 ft), most of this pool is deep, the deepest part is around 6 m (20 ft), you can swim if weather permits (if not raining and not a high level of water in the rainy season) there is a team member in place giving safety advice.
OCEAN LOOKOUT PICNIC:
Arrival at The Mango special ocean lookout in Hacienda Ébano, you will enjoy there a tropical snack picnic while watching a fantastic ocean view from an elevated spot of 450 meters or 1,500 ft, close enough to the sea to see and hear the waves.
NATURE RESERVE EXPLORATION:
A short or medium hike in the Nature Reserve's trails, chance to see wildlife - with educating comments from the tour guide, Ébano waterfall visit with swimming option.
COSTA RICAN LUNCH & RETURN:
Costa Rican-style lunch on banana leaf. You will have lunch next to a river or at the Ébano restaurant, depending on the weather and season.
