Detailed itinerary

1

Our awesome tour to Comino start and end here in Gozo! Hondoq Bay is Blue Flag beach and a great place to relax before or after your kayak tour :)
When you arrive you will be introduced to your guide and they will set you up with the equipment and make sure you are comfortable in your kayak. After that you will do a safety briefing and then we head off on our journey!

2

We generally start with a short paddle along the Gozo coastline to get comfortable in our kayaks before our journey takes us across the Gozo Channel to Comino! The crossing usually takes about 20min and is approx. 800m at the narrowest point. This is where the adventure really gets started!

3

We have two basic Comino routes based on the weather conditions and busyness on the water! The first option starts on the beautiful Blue Lagoon side of Comino and then we continue exploring to the east towards the Santa Maria side of the island! The other option would be to do the route in reverse and end at the Blue Lagoon! We try time our visits to the most popular tourists sites for when they are at their more quiet.
We spend about 2.5 hours out on the water in total, and we pass by/enter a number of gorgeous caves, bays rock features. It's awesome! We only pop into the Blue Lagoon for a few minutes as it can be quite busy, and then find a beautiful quiet bay to hide away in and enjoy nature. During the break you can swim, explore or just relax if you would like.
Sometimes we may not be able to kayak into the Blue Lagoon due to weather, winds or tourist numbers, but in those cases we will do our best to let you know beforehand or land nearby so we can view it from land!

4

If our tour focusses more on the eastern side of Comino we will check out an Instagram-worthy archway and tunnel as well as millennia-old rock formations. It is breathtaking! For the break of about 30 minutes, we generally stop off at the Santa Marija Bay, Urchins Bay or Daħlet il-Ħmara. In this time you can swim, explore or just relax.

5

Hidden around the corner from San Niklaw Bay is our favourite swimming spot. It is a hidden gorge only easily accessible by water. We lovingly refer to it as Urchin's Bay and it contains a wealth of marine life!

6

Either the start or the end of your tour you will get to enjoy the beauty of Qala Rock (Il-Ġebla tal-Ħalfa) and learn all about Dragut the pirate lord, get stunning views of St Anthony's Battery and even get to see a 700 year-old hermit hut!
The area geologically significant and you can even visit salt pans dating back to Roman times!

Please understand that all our tours are weather-dependent and not all areas may be accessible. Also, the Comino tours are not always possible due to winds or other factors. The tours are subject to a location change. If so, we will notify you before the tour, so always check your messages and feel free to contact us if you are in doubt.
