Detailed itinerary

1

The tour will start from Hakone-Yumoto Station. This is the starting point for sightseeing in Hakone and is also the entrance to the Third New Tokyo City in the Evangelion film.
This is also where Shinji and Misato, the main characters in the first episode of Evangelion, met.
Your journey with Shinji also starts from this station.

2

From Hakone-Yumoto, take the mountain railroad to Gora Station. This mountain railroad has often been damaged by apostate attacks.
Gora is the location of the “Gora Absolute Defense Line” in the film, a strong defense line to NERV headquarters. You can imagine the location of the defense line from inside a mountain railroad or a cable car.

3
Stop 3

From Gora, visitors will take a cable car and a ropeway. The ropeway is a very popular tourist spot where visitors can enjoy spectacular views, but at the same time, it is the system used to intercept the apostles in the Evangelion film.

4
Stop 4

Owakudani, where you can see the smoke rising from the volcano and learn about some of its powerful volcanic activity, was also the setting of the Evangelion film. Shinji, who ran away from home and wandered around the Third New Tokyo City with nowhere to go, arrives at this place.

5

From Owakudani, take the ropeway to Lake Ashinoko. It is close to where NERV headquarters was located in the film, and where the apostles often attacked. You can enjoy a leisurely lunch while viewing the scenery.

6

After eating lunch, we now boarded a bus to Sengokuhara, which is characterized by a field of silver grass. This is where Kensuke camps and meets Shinji.
(This location is also set on the outskirts of the Third New Tokyo City.

7

In a corner of Sengokuhara, there is a convenience store that has collaborated with Evangelion. In this convenience store, you can meet characters such as Shinji, Asuka, and Rei.

8

We took the bus back to the shore of Lake Ashinoko again. Looking at the lakeside scenery, I can see numerous apostles coming and the first plane intercepting the apostles.

9

From Togendai, you will take a boat across Lake Ashi, which appears frequently in the anime, as NERV headquarters is located near the lake. The tour will bring to mind various scenes from the anime in which the lake is reflected in the film.

10

Hakone, or rather, down to Hakone-Yumoto by bus from the Third New Tokyo City. There is an Evangelion store, Eva-ya. Evangelion goods only available here will be the best Japanese souvenirs.
