Avoid the tedious task of walking as you sit in the rickshaw with the guide explaining you important historical aspects of the heritage of India.While you enjoy your rickshaw ride, every moment will offer you different photo motive.We will take you to Jama Masjid- the mosque built by Shahajahan, which can hold up to 30000 worshipers at a time on Friday. Take some time out and roam around the red sandstone building’s courtyard, the sunrays falling upon the domes reflects tranquillity that has soothing effect upon your soul. Gather courage and climb up the minaret to have a gorgeous view of the city.
The rickshaw shall then take you to Chawri Bazar-the Indian wedding market, filled with hustle and bustle. Here you can see Indian gowns for bride known for its Zardozi embroidery to Indian overcoats for groom known for its chiffon fabric and the thinthread work defining different patterns beautifully.Then, through some narrow lanes, the rickshaw shall take you to Kinari bazar; the narrow street through which we would pass will take you centuries back in time,when these were established in Mughal period and till date unaffected by ravages of time. Kinari Bazaar is a hub ofevery fashion designer, from beads to laces related to decorative items, all can be found under one umbrella. Be careful while you go through these narrow streets, as you would encounter wires all over these lanes.A narrow escape through these and we shall enter Khari baoli- Asia’s greatest spice market. From herbs to dry fruits to tea leaf, all could be found here. Large rugs filled up to brim, bloom with red chillies, nuts and other spices.
The exotic saffron is very commonly found here. Keep your aural senses awake, as they would experience a plethora of fragrances and would try to differentiate. Our rickshaw ride will drive past English time’s town hall via Chandani Chowk. Earlier in mid-19th Century, the area of Chandani Chowk was the battle field, which witnessed the first Indian Mutiny, also called Sepoy Mutiny during the colonial time.
The street of Chandani Chowk keeps the secrets of adventure, meetings and departures in abundance. Your rickshaw will now drive past Sheeshganj Sikh temple, where the ninth Guru of Sikhs was martyred, as he refused to accept Islam conversion. Thereon, you will get a chance to peep through 1200 years old Shiva temple. The scenery is a stimulant for snapshots. Later, the rickshaw will take you past the red coloured Jain Temple (another sect of Jain religion is called Digambra). Across the street stands the strikingly admirable Red Fort. Brilliant in appearance, distinguished by its architecture, the fort was built by Emperor Shahjahan. We will have stop here for wonderful photography of the outside view.
After this exuberating rickshaw ride, we will reach parking of Red Fort, where our Chauffer will be waiting for you. We will drop you off at your hotel or your place
