About this experience

Upon arrival at our adventure center, we'll transport you on a 25-minute drive to the outskirts of the park. Once there, your guide will give you an introduction to this amazing natural area, home to one of the most active volcanoes in the country.
We'll walk along an accessible trail through the forest and see a variety of natural attractions, including giant strangler ficus trees, a seasonal waterfall, the "little volcano," smoking fumaroles, and the famous boiling mud pools, You might also spot some of the local wildlife, such as black iguanas, white-nosed coatis, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins and toucans. The trail is 2 miles long and takes about 2.5 hours to complete. After the hike you will return to our adventure center for a delicious lunch. After the break you will embark on our unimog truck that will take you on an adventure ride to the starpoint of your second hike to La Leona Waterfall.
