Detailed itinerary

Your 4-hour journey to Agra begins after a 6am pickup from your hotel, airport or accommodations in Jaipur. Upon arrival to Agra at 10am and we will transfer you to a 4/5 star hotel, where you will have some time to freshen up and, meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby.

Stop 2

First we visit the Taj Mahal, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. No trip to Agra would be complete without a visit to this shimmering display of domes and minarets. The world's best-known tomb stands testimony to the timeless love story of the 17th century Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan and his wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal. (Note: the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays).

Stop 3

Next we visit yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the imposing Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. This huge fort is made of red sandstone, and its interior reflects an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles.

After Sightseeing enjoys some shopping in Agra, known for its fabulous handicrafts made of marble and soft-stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra's major handicraft products also include leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery work.

After a memorable day, be driven back to Jaipur. You will arrive back at your hotel, or the airport in Jaipur at approximately 6pm.
