Around 7 in the morning you reach the Lejía lagoon, 1.9 km2 and 4,200 meters above sea level. Its waters are frozen during the winter months. Here a stop for breakfast is made observing the stunning landscape of the area, dominated by the Chiliques, Láscar, Aguas Calientes and Acamarachi volcanoes. It is not strange to run into vicuñas, flamingos and even gnomes that roam freely through the sector that remains virtually virgin. After feeding, the last section is carried out by vehicle for a couple more minutes until reaching the slopes of the Láscar volcano.
