At the time indicated, we'll meet opposite the National Opera and Ballet Theatre to start this food tour in Tirana. It's a route that combines culture and cuisine!
On the way to our first stop, we'll pass by iconic monuments, such as the National Bank, the Et'hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower and Government buildings. Then, we'll arrive in Bllok, one of the prettiest neighbourhoods in Tirana, full of cafes and restaurants. We'll stop at a shop to try byrek and dhalle, two traditional sweets.
We'll continue exploring this vibrant district, admiring Enver Hoxha's Former Residence and the Postblloku Memorial, a monument that honours imprisoned politicians. Then, we'll reach the Pyramid of Tirana and enter the Komiteti-Kafe Museum, where we'll enjoy a coffee and rakis.
The next stop will be Bunk'Art 2, an old military refuge that has been converted into a museum. After visiting it, we'll head to Pazari i Ri market, and explore the many fruit, vegetable and traditional Albanian product stalls. We'll stop at some to try local delicacies such as grilled meatballs and beer.
