Time Walk Tours uses the latest technology to turn a simple walking tour into a Canadian-first, where history comes alive for guests to step into & experience.
What sets our tours apart is the use of mixed reality. At select stops, guests put on a comfortable headset and still see the real world around them—but now layered with historical scenes, characters, and environments that align with the actual setting, where guests can interact with them. Within these “Time Moments,” guests can look around, pick up objects, move through the space and make choices or actions that influence how that particular story unfolds.
From lively market days and rum-running tales to political debates and working lobster boats, each mixed reality segment is designed to feel like a brief visit to another time before returning to the present and continuing the walk. Combined with live guiding, this creates a style of tour that goes beyond describing history and allows guests to actually be a part of it.
