Meet your expert local driver in Florence and travel through the verdant landscape of the rolling hills of Chianti, discovering the legend of the "Black Rooster" and tasting Chianti Classico wine. After the tasting we will visit the wonderful city of Siena. Siena is well known for its splendid architecture and beautiful main square: "Piazza del Campo". The city has a historic center which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Itinerary:
• Meet your expert driver in Florence and board your vehicle.
• Drive through the Tuscan countryside, admiring its vineyards, olive trees, tall cypresses and medieval villages.
• You will arrive at the local winery for a tasting of 5 of the best Chianti wines.
• Later we wil visit Siena, its historic center, the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Piazza del Campo.
You can choose to take the tour which starts at 8:30am or the afternoon tour which starts at 3pm.
• Meet your local driver in Florence at the meeting point (Via del Curtatone n. 9) and hop aboard your vehicle. Make your way through the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, admiring its blooming vines, tall cypress trees, sunflowers and hill villages.
• The first stop in the heart of the Chianti: in a historic winery-farm, with direct production of Chianti Classico, Super tuscan and Vernaccia. After a guided tour of the winery and an explanation of wine production and its basic techniques, you will taste 5 of the best wines in the area, including the famous Chianti Classico.
• After the tasting we will move to Siena for a free walking tour and a visit of the main monuments: The Cathedral, the Baptistery and Piazza del Campo with its tower (Torre del Mangia), symbol of the city. You will be able to walk along the main street (Via di Città) and discover local and artisan shops.
