Detailed itinerary

1

Your professional English-speaking tour guide and experienced driver will greet you at your hotel lobby at the scheduled time, ready to embark on a memorable journey to Yellow River Stone Forest Park—approximately a 2.5-hour scenic drive from Lanzhou city center. En route, your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights into the park’s extraordinary geological history.
Upon arrival at Yellow River Stone Forest Park, you’ll skip the ticket lines with your pre-arranged entry ticket (included in the tour) and step into a world of dramatic, otherworldly beauty. Towering stone formations, carved by millennia of wind and water erosion, rise sharply against the sky, creating a breathtaking panorama that feels like stepping into a living geological museum. The park’s rugged terrain, winding paths, and views of the Yellow River weaving through the stone forest make it a photographer’s paradise and a must-see for nature lovers.

2

A highlight of the park is the traditional sheepskin raft, an iconic Yellow River transportation for centuries. Made from dried, inflated sheepskins tied to a wooden frame, it offers a unique river view of the stone forest. Note that the sheepskin raft ride is not included; you can book and pay for it on-site if desired.
After entering the park, take the included electric shuttle bus to visit its most iconic spots efficiently. Your guide will lead you to the best viewing points and share key details about the rock formations.

After the tour, we’ll head back to Lanzhou. Lunch is not included, but our driver can drop you off at a local restaurant (upon request) for you to dine at your own expense.

After your meal (if you have one), we’ll send you back to your Lanzhou hotel, concluding your private day tour.
