A historic walled monastery situated near the town of Distomo, in Boeotia, Greece. It is one of the most important monuments of Middle Byzantine architecture and art,(11th-12th century) and has been listed on UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

The treasures collected here will bring your image of ancient Delphi to life. Rich and powerful petitioners flocked to Delphi from the 8th century BC onwards, bringing fabulous gifts and erecting opulent monuments. In the museum you will be able to see famous charioteer and Gold Ivory statue.

The pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke, was the site of the omphalos, the 'navel of the world'. Delphi in the 6th century B.C. was indeed the religious centre and symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world.
