Form San Francisco to South Lake Tahoe you will see different parts of Califonia. From the coast, through one of the richest rural area in the USA to one of the most beutful montain range on the west coast.

Heavenly Mountain Resort: A popular ski resort in winter, it also offers hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer, plus an observation deck with panoramic views. You can also ride the Heavenly Gondola for panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

You will see Emerald Bay State Park and if you want to you can do a 1 hour hiking to Vikingsholm, a historic mansion, and take in the breathtaking views of Emerald Bay.

If you're feeling lucky, try your hand at the casinos. Yes, we can cross the state line from California to on the Nevada to visit one cassino.

Access to lower Vikingsholm is via a steep one mile trail that drops 500 feet in elevation to the house. WARNING: Visitors with medical conditions or mobility issues should not attempt this hike. THERE ARE NO RIDES OUT.
There is no admission fee to walk around the mansion.
Admission to go inside Vikingsholm mainsion is $5.00 per person ( you will pay the admission fee if you want to go inside the mansion. And you can decide that when you reach there)
Vikingsholm Tours resume the season from June 1st and run daily through September 30.

Explore the natural history of the area and visit the Stream Profile Chamber to see fish up close. You will hike on boardwalks and paths around a marsh and meadow.

Enjoy and relax during the way back to San Francisco. There is no plan to stop any place but we can do it if need.
