At this first stop we will visit the City Hall and the main church, where you will learn about local architecture, the history of Puerto Vallarta, and the foundation of the city, understanding how this small village became the destination it is today.
We will walk up to the viewpoint on Matamoros Street, one of the historic points of interest in the city, where we will enjoy an incredible panoramic view of Puerto Vallarta and the entire bay while learning about its historical importance and strategic location.
We will walk to the Emiliano Zapata Market area, where this part of the tour becomes a true gastronomic experience. Here we will stop to taste different kinds of tacos, local drinks, and traditional snacks from street food stands, while learning about everyday Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and the role of street food in local culture.
Finally, we will walk to Lázaro Cárdenas Park, one of the iconic places of the bay, famous for its beautiful mosaic art. Along the way, you will learn about Banderas Bay, its history, and its importance for the city. Before arriving at the park, we will stop at one of the locals’ favorite bakeries to taste traditional Mexican sweet bread (pan dulce), a key part of everyday life and local gastronomy.
