Detailed itinerary

1

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and escort you to your comfortable first-class train carriage to Lucerne.

2
Stop 2

Your first stop will be aboard a cruiser on the crystal clear waters of Lake Lucerne. As you cruise the lake you will catch glimpses of Mount Rigi, Mount Pilatus and the Stanserhorn, whose iconic silhouette rises from the horizon like a rocky cathedral. Relax and watch as the scenery changes from Medieval Lucerne, to lush rolling valleys, to the dramatic cliff faces of Lake Uri.

3

As you arrive at the Hotel Bürgenstock you will be greeted by your private driver, who will guide you to one of the region’s most magnificent views of Lake Lucerne. Next, you will be escorted to your first tasting at the grand Weingartli wine estate, with its acres of organic vines. Looking out over the lakes and mountains, you will discover the heritage and culture of this iconic vineyard region, and have the opportunity to taste the wine which earned it international acclaim.

4

After your wine tasting, you will head deeper into the valley to discover yet more culinary delights at an independent beekeeping field. Here you will have the chance to learn the stories and secret formulas behind the region’s delicious honey, and see the entire process in action. Your guide will share insight into the history of the region surrounding Brunnistock Mountain, and best of all, you will be able to taste the golden honey produced on-site.

5

On your way to Lucerne you will pay a visit to the famous Brewery Kriens, where artisanal Lucerne beer is created. Located within a giant former pasta factory, the distillery sources ingredients from the surrounding Swiss countryside, and uses traditional methods to create authentic brews. You will have unique access backstage at the brewery, and learn the time-honored recipes and techniques used in production, as well as the stories behind the famous beer.
Watch the brewers in action, as giant copper vats are filled and heated ready for hopping before they enter the fermentation stage. The highlight of your visit will be an exclusive tasting session, where a Lucerne brewer will guide you through the factory’s full collection of Mons beers. Sample a range of brews, including the caramelized and fruity Ruby Mons, the dry and malty Gold Mons, and the sweet, citrusy Crystal Mons. There will also be a selection of seasonal special editions in the mix.

6
Stop 6

Next you will journey to the heart of Lucerne Old Town, as your guide escorts you through the maze of Medieval streets, sharing the stories of the people and cultures which built them. With its lovingly preserved churches, fairytale bridges, and leafy promenades which lines Lake Lucerne, this medieval center offers an enchanting glimpse of Swiss heritage. Follow in the footsteps of royalty, as you explore the favorite sites of historic giants including Queen Victoria, and the renowned German composer Richard Wagner.
To top off your visit to Lucerne you will have the chance to visit an historic cheese storage house, buried deep beneath the city streets. Here you will sample regional Sbrinz Cheese, beloved for its distinctive aromatic flavor and local roots.

7

After a full day, your guide will drop you back at your hotel.
