We will enjoy a lovely boat ride from the Outer Banks to the Currituck Mainland on the Currituck Sound. We will arrive at Sanctuary Vineyards and enjoy a delicious sampling of the fine wines of Sanctuary Vineyards. After our wine tasting there will be some time to shop and purchase wines for your enjoyment. We will then head back to the Outer banks on our boat and return to Duck.
The Vineyard Voyage departs the quaint Outer Banks community of Duck and crosses scenic Currituck Sound by boat to Sanctuary Vineyards. Upon arrival at a historic hunting lodge boathouse you begin the overland part of the voyage in an air conditioned van.
Sanctuary Vineyards is located in an area rich in waterfowl heritage and farming which dates back to the 1800s. You’ll travel through the marsh and cross agriculture fields to reach the 33 acres of viniferous grapes.
Once you arrive at the vineyard, you’ll get a behind the scenes tour of the winery and receive a private wine tasting.
