Detailed itinerary

1

Let us pick you up at your accommodation and head together towards the breathtakingly beautiful Seljalandsfoss!

2

The breathtakingly beautiful Seljalandsfoss is 60m high, 15m wide and the one that you can walk behind. Facing the majesty of the best-known waterfall in Iceland is really worth all the hype, and to walk behind the cascades of water makes it a unique and unforgettable experience!

3
Stop 3

On our way to the Thórsmörk valley we will drive by one of the most famous volcanoes, admiring its impressive ice cap. We'll be able to see the traces of the notorious 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökull, which received high media coverage due to disruption it caused to European air traffic.

4

Here we are at Thórsmörk, or The Valley of Thor, was indeed named after the Norse God of Thunder! It's a real treasure not only for mythology enthusiasts, but also the admirers of nature's beauty. Lush green moss, ferns and Birch forests crowned with impressive mountain ranges over the horizon… let's take a moment to admire those breathtaking views, before we move on to the next attraction.

5

A good 1,5 hour long trekking will make both your legs and eyes very satisfied and hungry for more exciting moments. Needles to say, the view on the Valley from the top of the mountain will be even more impressive and unforgettable.

6

The otherworldly Stakkholtsgjá canyon, located on the South of the Icelandic Highlands, is a massive challenge - literally! Around 2 km long and surrounded with 100 meters high, moss-covered walls, the canyon offers a very rewarding hiking trail and one of the most dramatic landscapes in Icelands. There is also lovely waterfall hidden somewhere in a twisting gorge, waiting for us at the very end of the trail.

7

Wonderfully tired and still intoxicated with the magical land of Thórsmörk, it's time for us to get back to Reykjavik... What a day! The attractions provided by The Land of Fire and Ice are not to be found elsewhere!
