About this experience

This private guided tour is designed especially for people who want to see the interior of the island. The tour starts from Chania region and goes through gorges, valleys, mountains and traditional small villages.
During this tour you will have the chance to meet local people, learn about the history and the traditions of the island. Also, you’ll have plenty of time to stop for photos, drink a Cretan “Frappe”,fresh orange Juice and relax in the peace of the Cretan nature.
You will see olive trees, orange trees and avocado plantations in the famous orange valley of Chania.
Later on, you will travel to the White mountains area and their wild and rocky environment.You will have the chance to see the begining of the Samaria Gorge and take some photos from above!
One of the tour’s highlights is the traditional Cretan homemade meal during which you’ll taste many local specialties and of course wine and “raki”.

We will visit the Orange Valley and the Agia Lake, and our guests will also have the chance to enjoy a coffee or a fresh orange juice there!

The Gorge of Therisso (named also Eleftherios Venizelos) is located near the city of Chania. You can go there by car. The main gorge is six kilometers long. The vertical cliffs are impressive and the lush vegetation has nothing to envy of the other Chania Gorges. The place deserves a visit, even with a vehicle, cobined with a visit in the historical beautiful village of Therisso, that is built at the foot of the White Mountains at an altitude of 580 meters, just 15 kilometers from the city of Chania. A visit here is something that will remain unforgettable to every visitor.
We will make a short stop, so our guests will have the chance to see the Gorge, take beautiful photos, and maybe hike a bit if they want!

The area aroung the village Zourva by Chania hosts the most impressive wood of West Crete. The name of it is Paradisos (paradise) and stretches from Pises Gorge and Aliakes. The tree that dominates the area is the cypress tree, the most typical tree in the forests that cover the White Mountains. Through the forest of Paradise comes the old trail that climbs steeply from Zourva to the springs of Tromarissa and continues up to the peaks of Madara

We will visit this small village, in the heart of the orange Valley!
There our Guests will visit an organic Avocado Farm, and they will learn a lot about this unique product of Chania!

The scenery is amazing and the village has also a lot of history regarding the second world war!

Meskla is a beautiful small village on the bottom of the White Mountains, and we may visit also the small gorge of the area called Sarakiniko!

In the picturesque village of Lakki, our guests will enjoy a carefully prepared unique Lunch in a small family restaurant!
During this lunch our guests will have the chance to try a large Variety of Cretan dishes, all made with the finest local ingredients!
Of course they will enjoy also soft drinks, local wine and Raki!
In addition they will have some time to explore the village and also relax and enjoy the Mountain Views!

We will drive through the famous Omalos Plateau, which is also one of the highest villages of Chania region and we will make a small stop for photos!

We will visit the famous Xyloskalo, and from there we will see the famous Samaria Gorge Entrance!
There our guests will have some time to see it and take beautiful photos of this UNESCO world famous National Park!
