The experience begins in Alto del Chocho, with interaction with animals. Continue with the visit to the Piedra del Peñol, with time to ascend or admire the reservoir, followed by a boat ride through the Guatapé reservoir. We will pick you up at your place of stay to head towards the municipality of Peñol. During the tour you will watch the Antioquia beautifull landscape, the pproximate travel time to the first stop will be approximately one hour depending on the traffic.
We will make a stop at the Alto del Chocho, which is a tourist stop where you can interact with farm animals and eat or buy something for the road. We’ll be there for about half an hour.
We will pass by the temple of Roca located in the Nuevo Peñol and then we will make a stop at the replica of the Viejo Peñol where you can find souvenirs and see a wonderful landscape of the Guatapé dam.
We will enter the area of the boats to make the tour of the Guatapé reservoir, where you will know first hand, the history and the secrets of the world’s most beautiful reservoir.
We will enter the Piedra del Peñol in Guatapé, where you can climb the stone which has 659 steps. To climb it you will need to buy a ticket with an average cost of 12 USD. In case you do not wish to climb, you can stay enjoying the beautiful view that offers this viewpoint and the local gastronomy.
After having lowered the Piedra del Peñol, we will go to the municipality of Guatapé, known as the village of Zócalos, We will have lunch and then we will walk the streets of the town, Street of Umbrellas, Street of Souvenirs, Square of Sockets and Jetty.
