Detailed itinerary

I take you in a traditional boat along the canals of the Green Venice with a view of the Maillezais abbey.

Maillezais Abbey is one of the founding abbeys of the Marais Poitevin. We will wander around its ruins to understand how men settled here to develop a swamp.

We will visit part of the Marais Poitevin along a survey with observation of the flora and fauna surrounding without forgetting the usefulness of a survey.

After visiting the abbey, we will take the bike towards the maraichin village of Maillé and we will return by the same way in order to secure everyone on the bike. During this outward and return journey, I will offer you discovery stages.

We will picnic on the port of Maillé overlooking the Sèvre Niortaise. This picnic concocted by the caterer of Damvix is made of products from the Marais Poitevin.
