Borjomi-Akhaltsikhe-Vardzia tour with overnight in Borjomi allows oyu to visit two biggest regions of Eastern Georgia in 2 days, Javakheti and Kartli regions. Tour includes visiting of: Borjomi mineral water park  and a lot of historical places in Javakheti region: Atskuri fortress, Akhlatsikhe fortress, Khertvisi fortress, Vardzia Rock Cut City and UNESCO protected sites of Mtskheka and Jvari, also cave town Uplistikhe and Gori city. Borjomi is located in National Park. In Borjomi you can walk in forest reserve and drink mineral water. Akhaltsikhe is a town with big fortress in Southern Georgia, founded in Middle Ages. Tourists will visit also an ancient fortress of Atskuri and Khertvisi fortresses constructed on the top of the hills in the X century. The final destination of the tour is Vardzia, an impressive cave town founded by King George III in the XII century. During its golden time it accommodated around 20.000 people. It was demolished by Mongols in XV century.

Borjomi is one of the famous mineral water healthy resorts of Georgia. Borjomi is famous by its naturally warm sulfur spring waters, evergreen forest reserve and National Park.

11th Century fortresses located in the hilltop in the joining of two rivers.

Vardzia is a rock cut cave city of 12th century, carved during the reign of Queen Tamara, in the "Golden Age" of Georgia.

During the day we shall visit the medieval era fortress in city Akhaltsikhe. This is one of the biggest fortresses of Georgia.

Atskuri fortress is a medieval time fortress of 10th century in Georgia

Next day we start tour from Borjomi in the morning. After one hour driving we arrive in city Gori, where we can see Gori fortress and Stalin Museum. Walking 1 hour.

After visiting Gori we can continue driving to Uplisikhe, located in 15 minutes driving by car. Uplistikhe is an ancient antique time cave town cut on the rock. We need arond one hour for walking/hiking in the caves.

After visiting Uplisikhe we can have a lunch in Gori and then leave for Mtskheta. We arrive in Mtskheta after 1 hour driving. Mtskheta is an encient antique time city, also called as an old capital of Eastern Georgian Kingdom Iberia. We need around one hour for walking in Mtskheta.

Stop 9

After visiting Mtskheta we visit Jvari church located in 20 minutes driving from Mtskheta on the hiltop on the left bench of the river Mtkvari. There are fantastic views from Jvari church to Mtskheta city and confluence of two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi. We need around half an hour for walking in Jvari and phototaking.
