About this experience

Begin your day with a scenic drive through coastal landscapes and traditional villages before reaching the entrance of the renowned Richtis Gorge. The experience starts with a gentle hike through lush scenery, shaded by tall trees and featuring wooden bridges and natural springs.

Follow the trail to the highlight of the gorge—the impressive Richtis Waterfall. Flowing from nearly 20 meters, the waterfall forms a natural pool where you can enjoy a refreshing swim or relax in a peaceful setting.

Continue your walk toward the coastal exit of the gorge, where the trail opens to beautiful sea views. After completing the hike, enjoy a traditional meal by the water, allowing time to rest and take in the fresh sea air.

In the afternoon, visit Voulisma Beach, one of Crete’s most popular beaches. Known for its turquoise waters and golden sand, it’s the perfect place to swim, sunbathe, or unwind after the hike.

Arriving at the Richtis Gorge, we enter the heart of this impressive ravine, where the sound of running water and the cool breeze from the springs set the tone for an unforgettable adventure. A short, easy hike leads us to the gorge’s natural waterfall—an inviting spot to swim, refresh, and enjoy the raw beauty of one of Crete’s most iconic locations.

After our time by the water, we head to a traditional Cretan restaurant to enjoy a meal prepared with local ingredients. Good food, local wine, and warm hospitality complete this perfect break.
