Detailed itinerary

Our first stop is the verdant one and one of the representative villages of Crete, Potamies. We will be guided to a traditional farm where we will see the milking of animals and local activities such as cheese making. There we will taste traditional products such as fresh cheese, olive oil & rakomelo!

Next stop is the Aposelemis dam, the largest water supply project in Crete. The village of Sfendili is submerged in the waters of the dam with its impressive old houses fading on the surface of the water. Also a natural wetland with a variety of birds.

Then we will start our ascent using dirt roads, we will pass through the gorge Of “Ebassas”. The view of the imposing mountains and the wild beauty of nature will reward you. At the short stop, the guide will collect various local herbs (oregano, thyme, sage) as the Cretans used to do.

After that, we'll make a stop at the longest windmill line in Crete, located at the entrance of Lasithi Plateau. Here, we'll have a panoramic photo opportunity and learn about the history of windmills in Crete!

Stop 5

Activities suggested by the tour guide, optional coffee stop in one of the traditional villages , tour the plateau of Lasithi through the gardens, meet the locals and explore the small villages!

Immediately after we will enjoy delicious authentic food, baked in the wood oven in one of the best traditional taverns.

We will have our lunch in the most traditional Tavern of the area enjoying food from the wood oven & local wine!

The last stop will be in the traditional village of Krasi, reaching the village square, one will see the three huge planees and Vryses dominate. Among them stands the largest and perennial plane tree aged over than 2000 years.

Our journey culminates with a spectacular panoramic view stretching from Sissi to Analipsi. Don't miss the opportunity to capture stunning photos that encapsulate the scenic beauty of this unforgettable experience.
