Detailed itinerary

We will begin with an optional guided visit to a Cretan winery, where we’ll learn about local winemaking and oenology. You may join an optional wine tasting (€11 not included) or enjoy free time to relax and take in the vineyard scenery.

As we cross the Messara Plain, we’ll enjoy beautiful views of Crete’s largest and most historic valley. We’ll make a short photo stop along the way, giving you time to capture the scenery and take in the peaceful landscape.

We will arrive in the iconic village of Matala, where you’ll have free time to explore its relaxed “hippie” atmosphere, browse the shops, and take photos. You can swim at the famous Matala Beach or choose to visit the historic Matala Caves (optional €5 ticket not included). It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the unique charm of southern Crete.

We will stop at a local restaurant where you’ll have about an hour to enjoy lunch. This is a great chance to taste authentic Cretan dishes and relax before we continue our tour.
