The guide will lead you from the Valley of the Kings across the desert path or by vehicle through the Theban hills, sharing stories of Queen Hatshepsut’s reign. Upon arrival, the guide will explain the temple’s unique terraced architecture, pointing out the statues, carvings, and reliefs that depict her divine birth, trade expeditions to Punt, and achievements. Guests will learn how this grand mortuary temple blends into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, symbolizing Hatshepsut’s power and legacy as Egypt’s most successful female pharaoh.

Once you arrive at Luxor International Airport and upon finishing the airport formalities, our accredited guide is going to meet and welcome you and accompany you to that vehicle where you will drive to the West Bank to visit the first site which is the Kings Valley. The guide is going to get you the area tickets and please make sure to inform him about your visit’s preferences and any specific tombs that you want to see as not all tombs are included in the area ticket. The Valley of the Kings is a vast necropolis that have about 62 royal tombs of many great kings that ruled Egypt in the ancient times including SETI First and Tutankhamon.

After a relaxing lunch at a local open buffet restaurant, the guide will gather the guests and board the air-conditioned vehicle. As they head toward Karnak Temple, the guide will share insights about the temple’s history, its dedication to the god Amun, and its role in ancient Theban life. Upon arrival, the guide will lead the group through the massive entrance, pointing out the Avenue of Sphinxes, the towering pylons, and the Great Hypostyle Hall with its forest of giant columns. Guests will explore sacred chapels, obelisks, and hieroglyphic carvings as the guide explains the temple’s architectural evolution over centuries.

After exploring Karnak Temple, the guide will escort guests along the recently restored Avenue of Sphinxes, connecting it directly to Luxor Temple. As they walk or drive the short distance, the guide will explain the significance of this ancient ceremonial route. Upon arrival at Luxor Temple, the guide will highlight its grand entrance with colossal statues of Ramses II and the towering obelisk. Inside, guests will learn about the temple’s role in religious festivals, its blend of ancient Egyptian and later Roman influences, and see intricate carvings, sacred chambers, and the beautifully lit courtyards as the tour continues into the evening.
