About this experience

The Phoenix/Tucson Box Canyon Tour is in Florence, AZ, halfway between Tucson and Phoenix on State Route 79. Driving time from either city is approximately 1.5 hours from either City
.
Our trail is about 34 miles in length and 3.25 hours in duration. Elevation gain and descent is over 1500 vertical feet as we climb up and over the front range of the Pinal Mountains.
Along the tour your guide will point out Indian petroglyphs left over from the ancient Native Americans. Another viewpoint is an old adobe building that served as a way station for the Butterfield Overland Stage Coach Company during the 1860’s Express on what was know as the “Butterfield The real highlight of the tour is Box Canyon.
The middle 3 miles is slot canyon with walls that are about 1500 feet high on both sides and only about 15-20 feet apart in some places. The scenery is incredible!

What you'll see

We start in your training are with a safety briefing. We provide you with helmets, goggle, gloves, bottled water and candy bars. You will have a chance to drive our training trail with our guide keeping a close eye on you to make sure you are comfortable. Our ATV's are automatic and easy to operate. Great for the experienced driver, as well as first time drivers. Then our 3 hour tour begins thru the  mountains and into the canyon. We will make frequent  stops for photos and snacks. Our guided tours keep you safe while having your adventure! Not Extreme, just Extraordinary! Come out and see for yourself!

Guests must driver to meet our guide(s) at the Trail head directly for start of tour - there is not a physical address but the nearest physical address is: River Bottom Grill 2501 N HWY 79, Florence, AZ 85132. Then the meeting place is on Price Stanton Rd which is nearby and once they turn onto Price it's about 3/4 of a mile on the right side of the road.
Singles hold 1 person - if wanting to ride 2 people on one quad - please call company directly.

**Must be at least 15 1/2 years of age with learners permit and/or license and release form to be signed by the legal parent or guardian. A parent or guardian of 18yrs + must accompany all minors on the tour.
