Stop 1

Your guide will provide a historical overview of Bamburgh Castle and surrounding area and provide you with a ticket for entry to the castle. You will have free time to explore the castle interior and exterior.

Stop 2

Your guide will give you a tour around the beautiful village at Lindisfarne (Holy Island)- once home to St. Cuthbert and St. Aidan and still the site of annual pilgrimages. Local landmarks include the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Lindisfarne Harbour and an external view of the priory (entry possible for an extra fee, depending upon opening times).
You will also get some free time to explore the village at your own pace and take in some local produce.

Lindisfarne Winery giftshop offers tastings of their locally produced mead- the drink of the Anglo-Saxon monks. Sample some of the produce and explore the wide range of products on offer at the gift shop.

You will drive along the beautiful Northumberland coastal route where there are options to stop to sample local produce (not included in the price). Options include kippers, plus local rum and ale tastings.

You will be given time for lunch but this is not included in the cost of the tour.
